14 Feb. Boston shattered the record for the coldest Valentine’s Day recorded in history.
According to the National Weather Service in Taunton, Boston temperatures dropped to -8 degrees, making Sunday the coldest day in the city since 1957.
The low temperatures, accompanied by wind chills ranging between -25 and -40 degrees, mean that frostbite can set in within 10 minutes.
